Graduates can perform investigating duties. The number of students is determined by decision of the Ministers of Education and Religious Affairs and Public Order and Citizen Protection. Until now training time was at the most fiive months and all entry procedures were under the supervision of the Hellenic Fire Service. School of Further Education & Professional trainingSchool of Further Education & Professional training aims in training active firefighting personnel with the purpose of ameliorating their qualifications in order to fulfill their duties by enhancing operational and managerial capacity.The period of study at the School of Further Education & Professional is defined each time by the Minister of Public Order, upon proposal of the Chief of the Fire Brigade and can not be less than two and a half (2 ½) months. By decision of the Minister of Public Order, upon proposal of the Chief of the Fire Brigade duration of short-term training programs is defined. This school can also provide certified courses for individuals, executives of Public Administration, Armed Forces of the Greek Police, Coast Guard Greek coastguard, public civil servants, employees of local authorities and the broader public sector, workers in various institutions, authorities and businesses, volunteers, firefighters seasonal employment and Fire Services Officers of other countries, in areas relevant to the mission of the Fire Brigade. Attendance duration vary by program. National Civil Protection School (N.C.PRO.S.)NCPS is performing all the tasks assigned in terms of practical training, education and further training in innovative civil protection policy developments. Is the only educational institute for Civil Protection volunteers, civil servants and, necessarily, employees of local authorities and public bodies involved in civil protection, for the above mentioned categories education last at least two (2) months and not exceed the six (6) months. NCPS can also organize theoretical and practical training, for shorter period of time. NCPS is the appointed governmental authority for the certification of civil protection volunteer teams and civil protection skilled volunteers of Article 14 of Law. 3013/2002 (A 102), as applicable.
