Outdoors fire setting prohibition 09/01/2015 - Posted by: Fire Academy Every year in Greece, due to increased risk, any combustion in forests, wooded grassland and farmland, located in rocky or stony areas in the lowlands or rough terrain and hills of the Region of Central Greece is prohibited by law from 1st May to 31 October except the Prefecture of Evia, where this limit is valid from 1st April. Permitted but after special permission from the competent local fire department, is burning agricultural residues. Further instructions shall be given by the department issuing the permission.
